Some wedding days feel like a homecoming, and Molly + Landon's August 1st wedding in Truckee was exactly that — a ceremony at Assumption Catholic Church, a sailcloth tent reception at Lahontan Golf Club, steel blue bridesmaids, and 150 of their favorite people. Elegant and timeless, just like they planned it!


Molly + Landon met in San Francisco in 2020 on a dating app, and their first date lasted over five hours, hopping around the city for drinks — about two weeks before the world shut down. After that came months of FaceTiming every single day! By the time that summer rolled around and they could actually spend time together, they were already in deep.


The first "I love you" was said at Lahontan on New Year's Eve. Lahontan is where Molly's family has spent a huge part of their life together, and Lake Tahoe is her favorite place in the world — so when Landon proposed in September 2025 on a birthday trip to Broken Bow, Oklahoma, surrounded by all of his siblings, there was really only one place this wedding was ever going to happen!


On the day, Molly and her girls got ready in the women's locker room at Lahontan while Landon and the groomsmen were just downstairs in the men's — close, but carefully timed so he wouldn't catch a glimpse of her! Molly chose not to do a first look with Landon, so his first sight of her was walking down the aisle at the church. She did share first looks with her bridesmaids and her dad, and Landon with his mom. After the ceremony — complete with a dip kiss at the end of the aisle!! — guests headed to cocktail hour at Lahontan while we took portraits in the gap, and Molly + Landon joined as much of it as they could, exactly like they hoped. Under the sailcloth tent, the night rolled into dinner and speeches from Molly's dad Con, best man Cooper, and maids of honor Jenna and Mara — and one of my favorite moments of the whole day: Mara, Molly's sister, shared her own short dance with Landon! Then golden hour gave us the softest light over Lahontan for a few last portraits before a dance floor that did not quit. This is what it looks like when a wedding day already feels like home!
