Capturing the people you love most - just as they are.

Hey! I’m Rachel—lead photographer, founder of Rachel Reynolds Co., and a firm believer that real life is worth remembering. My love for photography started in the 90s when I was a kid flipping through my grandparents’ photo albums. By 12, I knew I wanted to capture memories like that—joyful, emotional, and true to life.

In college, I studied English and Music, never imagining photography could be more than a creative outlet—until I took a digital photography class with the most inspiring professor: a former Army photojournalist turned wedding photographer. That one class changed the entire course of my life. I dropped out shortly after, determined to pursue photography full-time. That same year—2014—my first husband became seriously ill. After he passed, photography became even more personal: a way to hold onto the people we love.

Then came Mark.

We met at a church worship practice in early 2020—he was riffing on Radiohead’s Creep on the drums, and I started belting it from the pews. We jammed a few times before COVID shut everything down. After the world reopened, we reconnected at church in 2021—and everything changed. We fell fast, blended our lives, and never looked back. Mark brought two wonderful sons into my life, Kyler and Haven, and I brought my son Louie and my daughter Ophelia. We got married and began working weddings together—because as it turns out, he’s an incredible photographer and videographer himself.

Life felt full. We had built something meaningful together—at home and in our work.

Then in 2024, we lost Haven at just 14 years old. He was Mark’s son—funny, creative, always laughing, and full of joy. And because he was part of what we were building—filming with us, helping with gear, showing up to weddings with that easy smile—his absence is felt in every part of our lives.

But that’s also why we do this with so much heart. When you’ve lost someone you love, you see just how important it is to capture the people who matter. We don’t just document wedding days—we help you hold on to the faces, the laughter, and the fleeting joy of being together.

Today, Mark and I work side by side—I photograph, he films. We raise our kids in the Sierra Nevada foothills, strive to live like Christ in every part of our lives, and create honest, heartfelt stories for couples all over Northern California.

Because love is always worth remembering.
