Maggie + Dominic’s October wedding at The Gardens at Sutter Creek was filled with lush greenery, garden surroundings, and a relaxed atmosphere that felt completely fitting for the two of them.
The couple met through a mutual friend in Reno in March 2019. Their first date started at a pizza place and brewery before they headed to a cocktail bar, giving them plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. Since then, they’ve built a life around some of their favorite things—hiking, weekend trips, trying new restaurants, spending time with their dog, and simply being together.
Dominic proposed on February 3, 2024 at Gar Woods in Lake Tahoe. Maggie thought they were just meeting one of her best friends for lunch, but afterward they walked down to the dock, where Dominic surprised her with the proposal.
For their wedding, Maggie + Dominic chose The Gardens at Sutter Creek because they loved the atmosphere, garden setting, lush plants, and reception space. It gave us so many beautiful spaces to photograph throughout the day.
Later in the evening, we slipped away to Erickson Ranch for golden hour, where the open meadow, oak trees, and warm October light gave us a completely different backdrop for their portraits. It was the perfect chance for Maggie + Dominic to have a little time together away from the reception while we created some of our favorite portraits of the day.
After more than six years together, Maggie + Dominic officially became husband and wife on October 5, 2025, surrounded by the people they love. We loved getting to document this chapter of their story and all of the moments—both planned and unexpected—that made the day theirs.
